  1. Beauty, this is exactly what I was looking for. Super simple. Thanks for the video. Also thanks for keeping it quick and to the point and not making it long winded can't stand most of the tutorial videos out there. Cheers.

  2. So much unnecessary work lol! Just do the same mounting as you would a fireplace mantel!!! Find the studs, put in lag bolts, drill holes in the wood that line up with the lag bolts, and liquid nails them into place. Again, same as mounting a mantel on a brick fireplace. All this work for something much simpler

  3. Didn't he say "without any hardware"?

  4. I can not do this on my own 😭😭😭😂

  5. This looks like a great solution to the fact that I want THIN shelves for shoes and cannot find brackets thin enough for that anywhere. I'm going to use 1×10 material (shelves will be 9" deep and 11" wide) and can size the dowels appropriately for the material thickness. I will try to use 1/4" thick dowel. Thanks for this! I will let you know how it goes with the thinner material. I'm only 5% worried it's too thin since my shelves are so small and will only hold one pair of shoes each.

  6. You're really good with wood. Thanks for the tutorial my grandmother will love this in her living room.

  7. You mentioned that wall anchors have a weight rating, but is there a way to calculate the stress the dowels can take? Isn't that a factor too? That is to say, if there was somethign heavy on the shelf, is it possible the connection to the wall stud would be fine but the dowels within the shelf may fail? thanks

  8. Best pallet shelf iv seen. Been looking for some thing like this. Love it, nice technique 👌

  9. I have several potted plants I would like to elevate due to my cat (he loves to destroy them). I love the look of these shelves. Do you think they would be sturdy enough to support plants? Awesome video!!!

  10. Best one yet of all the floating shelf vids. I will use this one.

  11. Know what I like about you? You make cool stuff with common materials while giving practical guidance. Bravo.

  12. Thank you soo much. Great job!!!

  13. This is genius 👍 also great to see a black man breaking the stereotype👍

  14. Well put together video! I need to build some custom shelves and this is exactly what I'm looking to do.

  15. Great work here! Quick question what’s the safety screw?

  16. wll they do this for me at home depot if i show them this video

  17. Hey dude. Thanks so much for your videos. I was planning on making some floating shelves AND a floating TV stand (though the TV itself will actually be mounted to the wall). Basically just gonna make a rectangular box and mount it using this technique. Any reason that wouldn't work? Please keep up the awesome content!

  18. Just found and bindge watched half this channel, 2 things I've learned, Americans get wood cheap as hell and Americans diddnt read the story about the 3 little pigs since it seems all your home's are made of wood and plaster board rather than bricks

  19. Girl this turned out amazing!!!!! 5:58

  20. Great tutorial. Love your stuff.

  21. Wow, terrific video! I've watched a lot of YouTube woodworking videos but you showed me some things I've never seen before. When can you make shelves for my house? 😉 Liked and Subscribed!

  22. yes,,,,, I like it. I will try at home.

  23. Thank you for uploading this! Much appreciated. 5:26

  24. Shut the front door! I never would have thought of putting the dowel in the drill to sand it down.

  25. I have looked for shelves and brackets for hours and then I found the video THANKS A BUNCH I love the video. I really like the speed you teach it at really well done !!!!
