I often have people asking me questions about travel blogging or blogging in general, but it’s difficult to give good advice in just a paragraph or even a few sentences. So I thought I’d share some more substantial thoughts on how to have the right mindset, expectations, and process to be successful in travel blogging. 5 years ago I benefited a lot from what others taught about blogging so, in turn, hopefully you will find my random thoughts useful in some way!

VERY SORRY for the focus moving in and out. My camera was having a bad day.

  5. I can relate to how you said don’t make the posts about you but more so your audience. In the beginning of my blogging journey, I started off talking about my travels like a play by play but started realizing last year I should make it so it’s useful information for people to take in. It definitely transforms your blog in 360 degrees if you change your writing! And gets more people interested, for sure.

  6. Really helpful video! I'm starting a travel blog soon and want to make sure it contains useful information rather than just detailing my travels, I have a vlog as well which shows more of a day to day life so I want my blog to be valuable to others

  7. This is the most down to earth and best travel blogging tips! I will apply these tips once I start my blog

  8. I've started a travel blog focused on female solo travel + travel with/despite chronic health issues (vinegarandwine.com) in June and I can't help but feel disappointed. I never expected to be a hit immediately, generally I don't care about being "the best", but I put so much love into my photography and writing, that it feels very discouraging when I don't get a single hit on my site for days at a time. I'm trying to learn more about how to drive traffic, SEO and all that good stuff, but I constantly feel like I'm doing something wrong. Can anybody relate?

  9. are you looking for a travel partner? i would love to travel with you, please consider me

  13. Hey my man, thank for the advice. I’m gong to watch your other videos to get an idea how you vlog whilst you travel. My channel is based around Lifestyle, Travel and Fashion. I have a great travel vlog to Cuba 🇨🇺 check it out if you get the chance. I’d love some pointers if you have any, anyway, keep doing what your doing.

  14. Thanks for the tips, completely agree!

  15. Good video man! Just got your book the other day, and I'm really thankful for your tips, guides, and inspiration. I look forward to starting my blog!
