Orkney has a rich history, dating back to the Neolithic period. Skara Brae and other archeological excavations in Orkney are changing the way we look at history! You can also walk a huge stone circle, the 104 metre wide Ring of Brodgar.

Don’t miss the island of Hoy, and learning more about Orkney’s role in both World Wars.

I’m Sonja from Migrating Miss, a travel and expat lifestyle blog. Originally from New Zealand, I travelled and lived around the world for years before deciding to base myself in bonnie Scotland.
